around the fire
wise woman rising

A special online gathering, marking the birth of Edwina's book - Wise Woman Rising. The time is now for midlife women to reclaim menopause as a major rite of passage and initiation, standing in our power as older, wiser, magical women.
Ali & Edwina
Thursday 21st May
7.30pm to 9pm (Open from 7.25pm)
Free neuro-friendly gathering - online through Zoom. Open to Ali and Edwina's women friends and connections 18+ (trans-inclusive).
Book by messaging Ali through the contact form. She will send the link by email.
What will happen
Gathering around the fire
Coming together to open the circle. You are invited to light something - a candle, lamp, fairy lights etc. - that can remain lit throughout the gathering until the end.
Wise Woman Rising
A chat with Edwina about her book, with the chance to ask questions.
Into the Wild Wood
Ali will take us into the Wild Wood in a practice she is calling 'Co-Flow' - going into the Imaginal together and playing with layers of reality.
Reflections
An invitation to share thoughts and co-create a Wild Woman Rising poem.
Farewell to the fire
Closing the circle.

How it is neuro-friendly
-
You contribute just by coming. There is no demand to do anything. It's all just invitation.
-
Keep your camera off or turn it off whenever you like.
-
No need to sit still staring at the screen. You can look away, fidget, stim - whatever helps you regulate and feel comfortable.
-
Use the Chat to communicate if you prefer.
-
No hierarchy - we're all important, we all matter. These circles are about coming together to co-create. Each time is a unique collaborative event.
-
You are welcome to get in touch before or after a circle to share any needs you might have.
IMPORTANT: By the nature of this work, some powerful stuff may come up at times. While Ali is trained/experienced in offering emotional support and holding space, everyone is responsible for themselves during the gatherings and taking care of their own wellbeing.
Come, sisters, gather in circle.
Bring a seat of your choosing
– rocking chair, rug, stool;
a throne, if you’re so inclined.
We are all queens, sovereign to ourselves.
Show up as you like; nothing is fixed.
We’re curators of this liminal space.
Sit, sisters,
around this communal fire we’ve made.
Settle yourselves.
We’ll begin.
