Didsbury Arts Festival
'That pull. The bards
down ancient line
who sang by tribal fire & moon;
up it comes their call
through cordage wound from salt & verse;
through teeming ground, the primal pulse;
throbbing in my Poet’s Boots.'
'My Poet's Boots' was a free gathering for Didsbury Arts Festival on the evening of Wednesday 28th June 2023 at Saison in West Didsbury. I shared some of my amazing journey as an emerging poet; how I'm throwing off old layers and ways of being and stepping into my poet’s boots. I was joined by Cherrelle Anne and Sean Fitton, two other emerging poets working out what they want to say about the world - and how to say it.
I also appeared at Didsbury Arts Festival's free Opening Event on Saturday 24th June 2023, sharing my poem 'The Song of Ryebank Fields'.
